Kid Zone provides supervised drop-in childcare for YMCA members while parents or caregivers use the Y. Designed as a fun, safe play space, Kid Zone offers age-appropriate areas and free-play activities for children. Because it is not a licensed childcare facility, we rely on maintaining reasonable child-to-staff ratios and on parents’ judgment regarding their child’s comfort in a busy environment.
Parents must remain on YMCA grounds and let staff know where they will be during their visit. Stays are limited to 2 hours.
(Staff may close early if no children are present.)
Children should be kept home if ill. Staff may contact parents if a child shows signs of sickness or cannot be comforted. All YMCA childcare programs are Nut Aware, and outside toys should be left at home. Please label all personal items.
A parent or caregiver must sign children in and out. Written permission is required if someone else will pick up the child.
Bring necessary items such as bottles, diapers, wipes, and extra clothes.
Kid Zone may close during severe weather; please call ahead if conditions are uncertain.
