Grand Rapids is filled with miles of walking paths, and the City Hiking Trail Program offers a fun new way to discover them. Through the program, residents can walk, bike, or run along eight accessible and scenic trails throughout Grand Rapids. Each trail features a hidden password that also teaches participants about Grand Rapids and Minnesota history. Once you collect all eight passwords, you can turn them in at the YMCA to receive a commemorative hiking pin. To launch the program, we are raising funds for trail signage and the commemorative pins.
Our first fundraising initiative involves a Guinness World Record marathon attempt. Lucas Berard and Natalia Potente are attempting the Fastest marathon running handcuffed (team of two) (mixed) at the MO’ Cowbell Marathon on November 8th. We completed the Vienna City Marathon in under 3:00 this spring and are hoping to do this again, but this time handcuffed.

We will be training for months to hopefully accomplish this feat and would love it if you can donate to the City Hiking Trail program to cheer us on!
