Welcome to the Itasca County

Family YMCA!

The Itasca County Family YMCA provides a welcoming place for the entire community to come and participate in innovative, quality programs that strengthen families, aids in the healthy development of children, encourages positive individual behavior and contributes to a healthier, safer community for all. Through a variety of programs, including childcare, sports, swimming lessons, senior programs, family activities, health and wellness classes, and more, we build character by emphasizing the core values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith.

The mission of the Itasca County Family YMCA is to strengthen ourselves, families and communities by promoting growth in spirit, mind and body.

Important message from our Executive Director

April 3, 2020

Dear Valued Y Member,

We deeply appreciate your patience as we navigate the impact of coronavirus in our community. We are all operating in unknown territory, and we are working diligently to keep you updated.

With your support, we are guided by our commitment to support our community, and this is even more critical now. When you belong to the Y, you are not only a member of a health and wellness center, you are a member of an organization dedicated to strengthening community. In difficult times, the Y pivots in response to community needs, and finds ways to use our resources to offer solutions.

Together We Strengthen Our Community

While we look forward to restoring full center operations as soon as possible, your membership helps us meet critical needs during this pandemic. We have positioned our Y as a Community Response Hub offering life-saving programs and services. You play a vital role in helping us deploy these services and serve our community by continuing your membership.

We will continue to explore additional services the Y can provide that will be relevant for our community as needs evolve.

Please Stay With Us

Thank you for being a Y member. Now, perhaps more than ever, the Y needs your support. Your next membership draft will be charged to your account on April 15; no action is required on your part. In appreciation, we will double the number of guest passes on your account to 6 for this year.

However, if your financial situation has changed, we have other options for you to consider such as placing your membership on hold. Please contact us at 218-327-1161 to learn more. If you have already called the Y to make a membership change, there is no need to call again. Moving forward, we plan to communicate through e-mail and on the Itasca County Family YMCA Facebook page. If you’d like to receive e-communications, please send your e-mail address to membership@ymcaitasca.org.
