FAQ’s About YMCA Membership

  • Included in membership:
    • Locker room use, daily locker use and shower area
    • Pool – open swim and lap swim times, aquarobics classes included also, discounted fees for swim lessons
    • Whirlpool and sauna
    • Gymnasium
    • Indoor walking and running track
    • Racquetball – free to play and free to borrow equipment
    • Fitness center with cardio machines, weight machines, and free weights
    • Free Orientations to all equipment in the Fitness Center
    • All fitness classes are free to members, including judo and karate
    • Free WeeCare childcare for members while they work out. 6 weeks to 8 years old for up to 2 hours each visit, parent must stay in the building when using WeeCare. See Hours to left.
  • Plus Locker room benefits (available with the PLUS type memberships):
    • Adults only locker room which is locked for added security
    • Private Kit Locker  is assigned to each member for 24-hour use
    • Towel service
    • Private sauna in locker room
    • Some exercise equipment is located in each locker room
  • Insurance Rebates for eligible policies
    • BCBS/MN - $20 to $40 rebate based on usage
    • HealthPartners - $20 to $40 rebate based on usage
    • Medica - $20 rebate based on usage
    • Arrowhead Promotions employees - $20-$40 rebate based on usage
    • UCare for Seniors - work out 8 times a month and receive a $20 rebate.
    • Silver Sneakers – free membership with eligible health insurance policy from Humana, Medica, BlueCrossBlueShield Platinum plans and some others.
  • 3 ways to pay
    • Short term - 1 month at a time;
    • Annual - pay for full year at once;
    • Bankdraft pay - takes dues directly out of checking or savings account on the 15th of each month.  There is no “commitment” period for the bankdraft, we only require 30 days written notice to cancel
  • Financial Assistance is available based on income and family size.  Pick up an application at the desk, fill out, attach the appropriate income verification documents, and return to the membership desk.  It takes about 2-3 weeks to process and answer comes in the mail.
  • Family memberships are for couple with or without dependent children
