Airport Road Path

Path starts at the corner of River Road and 7 th Ave. SE in Grand Rapids . The paved path continues down 7 th Ave. SE and veers away from the road slightly toward the right. Path continues through a wooded area and then veers back again towards 7 th Ave. SE .

Gunn Park
Located four miles north of Grand Rapids on Hwy 38, on the shores of Prairie Lake .

The Itasca Bike Trail is a 7-mile trail that branches off from the Mesabi Trail in Grand Rapids and goes north to Gunn Park on Scenic Hwy 38. This is a multiple-use trail that includes hiking, bicycling, and in-line skating. The trail provides safe and healthy recreational opportunities for local residents and visitors.

97 miles of trail. Trail starts at the Itasca County Fairgrounds in Grand Rapids . The Mesabi trail is one of Minnesota 's newest trails, and once completed, it will be one of the longest paved trails in the United States, connecting Grand Rapids to Ely. T he trail will traverse 132 miles and connect more than 25 communities (Nashwauk, Hibbing, Chisholm and Virginia, to name a few). (See Appendix A for map)

Portage Park
Located off Cty Rd 63 on the corner of Lake St. and Katherine Ave. in Cohasset, MN .

A paved trail loops around the entire park. For a more scenic route, trail users can choose to take one of two cross-country ski trails that veer off from the Portage Park paved trail.

Sylvan Point Trail
From Grand Rapids, take 169S to Golf Course Road . Take a Right on Golf Course Road and go 1.4 miles. Take a Right on 14 th Ave. SW – road before Grand Itasca Hospital . Go about two blocks. Parking lot is on the Left hand side. Paved trail was built in a beautifully wooded area of red pines and runs behind the hospital and onward to the Forest History Center .

Tioga Beach Trail
Located along Cty Rd 63 of Cohasset. Parking is available at Tioga Beach which is located on Tioga Beach Road off of Cty Rd 63. The paved trail wraps around Pokegama Lake for a half-mile then continues parallel to Cty Rd 63 for 1.5 miles.

Veteran's Memorial Park
Located at 7th Ave. NE & Hwy 2 in Grand Rapids .
