Horseback Riding Trails

 

Rules and Trail Etiquette
Do not damage or cut live trees or vegetation. Clipping overhanging branches to maintain trails is encouraged.
Tie horses to trailer, away from trees.

Damage: Clean up hay and manure left by your horse. Take everything with you when you leave.

Litter: Camping is allowable, but facilities are not provided.

Camping: Only vehicles weighing 1,000 lbs. or less are allowed within the Deer River City Forest.

Vehicles: Portable corrals may be set up, leaving room others. Do not set up corrals in the woods near trees or bushes.

Corrals:
Trails are designated for ease of use. Off-trail riding is allowable.

Trail riding: Groomed ski trails. No riding anytime.

Ski Trails: Groomed ski trails. No riding anytime.

Vehicles: Only vehicles weighing 1,000 lbs. or less are allowed within the Deer River City Forest .
