Tall Timber Days 5K & Running the Rapids Half Marathon/5K

Race Day Registration 7:00am

Race Starts 8:00am

Entry Fee: $25 – pre-registered runners Pre- registration ends Friday, August 3rd at 5:00pm and payment can be made at the YMCA Membership desk or mailed in. Checks made to the Itasca YMCA c/o Kris Bolin 400 River Road Grand Rapids, MN 55744

$30 – on race day or online registration opens May 1st on Active.com

Race starts and ends at the IRA Civic Center. There will be 1 aid station on the course. A course map will be available here.

First 200 racers will receive a T-shirt. There will be awards for the top 3 overall male and female competitors, and also the top male and female in each age group: 14& under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.

Awards ceremony will be held at approximately 9:00am.

Proceeds of the Tall Timber Day 5K go to support LIVESTRONG at the Itasca County Family YMCA. LIVESTRONG at the Y is an individualized health program for cancer survivors that focuses on the health of the participant and not the disease.

Running the Rapids Half Marathon and 5K

Location: Portage Park, 25570 Katherine Ave, Cohasset, MN 55721

Course Information: It is a looped course, with the start and finish in the same place. Portions of the course are on Road. Please see Course Map for more information
Parking: Portage Park,25570 Katherine Ave, Cohasset, MN 55721
Check In: 6:00am
Half Marathon Start: 7:00am
5k Start: 7:15 following start of Half Marathon
Food: Light snacks will be provided to Participants. If looking for Lunch, there are several area resturants just minutes away.

What to Bring:
ID(to be presented at registration)
Light Sweater(weather depending)
Any additional running materials

What to Wear: Please wear appropriate clothing.
Men: Running Shirt/ T shirt, running Shorts pants, Running shoes.
Women: Running Shirt/ T-Shirt, running shorts/pants, running shoes
Time Limit: Time Limit will be put in place for the Half Marathon. A 16 minute mile pace(3 hours, 22 minutes, 50 seconds) will be the minimum pace.
Weather: In cases of Adverse Weather, the race will be held on August 26, 2018 in the same place.
